Book VIII: The Ghost Ship

Marine Salvage Diver & Boat Mechanic
Reed Delmar
Lives in a converted boathouse tucked into a rocky inlet just outside town. Smells like salt, diesel, and Old Spice cologne. Inside, his tools hang like relics, and sea charts cover the walls — some not found in modern records.

Home Sweet Home
Reed's Hoouseboat
Reed loves reading a good book on his deck while enjoying a cold one or a cup of coffee from The Daily Grind.

The Ghost Ship
The Lysandra
Built in 1911, the Lysandra was considered a fine vessel. The builders were Harland & Wolff, the same Belfast shipbuilders of the Titanic. The Lysandra disappeared in 1947, along with the entire crew.

ProdYale Lecturer
Professor Dorne
Professor Alaric Dorne (1876, Providence, RI. – 1925?) Maritime historian, occult researcher, and former Yale lecturer. Studying the “resonance phenomenon” aboard vessels believed to be haunted or cursed. Disappeared: August 1925, shortly after a reported voyage to Whisper Hollow. Or was he silenced?

Owner Fletcher's Bait & Tackle
Clint Fletcher
(1955- age 68 in 2023) inherited Fletcher’s Bait & Tackle shop from his father, who opened it right after the storm of '42 — the one folks still whisper about. Served as a commercial fisherman in his youth. Came back with one eye clouded and a story he never tells. Reed says Clint once found something washed up — and buried it himself. Olivia discovered that Clint’s name appears in declassified Navy sonar reports from the 70s — listed under ‘civilian witness.’

Aboard the Lysandra
Reed investigating the Lysandra
As a Marine Salvager, Reed was extremely interested in the Lysandra, but not because it was known to be haunted!

Inside the Lysandra
A Cabin
A typical private cabin on the Lysandra, reserved for important passengers.

Operating the Lysandra
Captain Howard Blake in 1947
A fascinating man. (1915-1947?) Disappeared with the crew in 1947 off the shores of Connecticut after being Captain of the Lysandra since 1944 at age 29.

At the docks
Loading the Lysandra
The last load of cargo was loaded onto the Lysandra in Belfast, Ireland, headed to New Haven, CT., a thriving coastal port.

Crewmember of the Lysandra
Sailor Jude McCarren
Why did Mr. McCarren jump from the Lysandra right before the entire crew and ship vanished?
What secret was he keeping hidden inside his mind?

Inside the Lysandra
The Mess Hall
Cards on the table...pots left in the sink...food left in the ice box...why did this happen?

Inside the Lysandra
The Radio
The radio aboard the Lysandra was left on the distress signal channel.

Inside the Lysandra
Blueprint of the Lysandra
The Lysandra was 280 feet long, held a crew of 28, had four primary levels plus several hidden. mysterious compartments.

At The Lantern Pub
Swappin' tales in The Lantern Pub
Inside a cozy, dim-lit tavern in Whisper Hollow, years later. Locals around a table whispering, with an old painting of Jude hangs on the wall. The bartender quietly listens to their stories while polishing a glass—maybe he knows more?

On the deck of the Lysandra
After Jude's Jump..or was it?
Since the entire crew vanished a few days later, there was no formal investigation of Jude's death conducted.
